Jolina: So even though two people are in opposition to each other, their opposition can be complimentary of each other.
Christopher: I see that you’re pointing out how we share this complimentary opposition, but I told Acacia that I would tell her what I am to do, and this is the week I promised her that I would.
Jolina: Are you going to include complimentary opposition in how you do it?
Christopher: I think that it’s not only the best way to maintain balance in the society, but also to legally fulfill all laws that govern the areas we operate in.
Jolina: So those that want to give money to help build people up and out of poverty can do so through Safe Haven by purchasing a membership on TheSafeHavens.org
Acacia: And Academia will provide a collection of businesses and brands that offer franchising opportunities for those with a desire to build a company.
Christopher: Academia will organize training courses for managers and employees for these franchises.
Acacia: Let’s start over from the beginning.
Jolina: OK, Safe Haven will provide funding to build equity in these companies by using “Shear” donations.
Acacia: Academia will facilitate the growth of these companies in 3 stages of growth.
Christopher: After completing this growth, these companies can be sold to local investors after they have recouped their investment costs and become sustainable.
Acacia: Academia will receive a commission on the sale.
Jolina: The company’s managers will also receive a commission at the conclusion of the brokered sale.
Acacia: Academia will remove the branch of the franchise off its books, now that a different investor owns it.
Christopher: But Academia will still receive franchise dues.
Jolina: The managers who requested to start company can remain in their position as per the terms of the brokered sale.
Christopher: They can also save up or pool money together to purchase the company they manage, and in some cases even petition that the company not be sold to investors until they can afford to be that investor.
Acacia: And the community will prosper as this money goes back into the Safe Haven coffers to be distributed to other Startups.
Christopher: And to grow existing companies.
Acacia: But who will qualify to petition Safe Haven for startup funding?
Jolina: Anyone who is part of the collective.
Christopher: When we choose an area to operate this organization in, we’ll glean land deeds from the local population. Anyone who volunteers their deeds will sign a contract stating that they will leave their deeds in our care for 10 years. At the end of the 10 years, they can either have their deeds returned to them, sell their deeds to us at the fair market price, or leave their deeds in for another 5 years, whichever scenario Safe Haven can afford at that time.
Jolina: And the people can remain on their lands while it is developing into this utopian garden city.
Acacia: What if you need to use the land someone is living on to build a company or any other civic project?
Jolina: We will provide housing equal to or greater than their existing housing circumstance.
Christopher: This accommodation must be approved by 10 neighboring locals if the family that is being relocated refuses the acceptability of the new housing circumstance, requiring us to deal justly with the locals.
Acacia: And requiring the locals to deal justly with us.
Jolina: How will we afford this?
Christopher: A mixture of R&D Funds and Shear Funds as we build out the local economy in the housing sector from Shear Funds.
Acacia: Can you explain these funds to me again?
Christopher: When somebody buys a Shear Membership for $40, which is the low end cost of a sheep’s fleece, they will be providing $5 towards their first Shear Fund contribution, and the remaining $35 goes towards the R&D Fund.
Jolina: This membership will give the account holder voting rights where they can vote one time on each poll.
Christopher: The Shear Fund is only to be used for equity building as we fund startups and grow existing businesses.
Acacia: The R&D fund will provide for all other expenses necessary to carry out the mission of Safe Haven and Academia.
Christopher: Just as the companies we will fund will grow in stages, so too the website and membership options will grow in stages.
Acacia: And even this organization will grow in stages. Right now we need some funding for legal advise and we also need more people to create a board for a non-profit.
Jolina: Right now, only “Shear Memberships” are available, but eventually we will open a second membership level called “Shears Membership”.
Christopher: This will cost an additional $70 if upgrading from a Shear Membership, or $110 if purchased at once.
Jolina: With a Shear Membership you have one shear, with a Shears Membership you have two shears.
Acacia: With a shear you have the right to vote, but with shears you can do work.
Jolina: With a Shears Membership you can also donate shears in $5 increments, as no more R&D Fund contributions will be expected after reaching that level.
Christopher: When we organize the collective, administrator privileges will be given to select persons who will manually create Collective Memberships.
Jolina: These will be assigned to all persons who join a collective by providing their Safe Haven with their land deeds.
Acacia: BooksOfAcademia.com will be the third growth stage of our websites.
Christopher: This will be where all companies managed by Academia will have their financials transparently outlined.
Acacia: This is also where all educational materials can be accessed.
Jolina: Also videos will be uploaded there eventually as we grow large enough to maintain the infrastructure of a media company.
Christopher: Please go to TheSafeHavens.org and join our efforts in making this all a reality, providing the disenfranchised with franchise opportunities, assisting those without means by giving them means.
Acacia: It is a great work.
Jolina: A great work indeed.
Elder Jeffery R. Holland: With the gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the strength of heaven to help us, we can improve, and the great thing about the gospel is we get credit for trying, even if we don’t always succeed… Please, please remember tomorrow, and all the days after that, that the Lord blesses those who want to improve, who accept the need for commandments and try to keep them, who cherish Christlike virtues and strive to the best of their ability to acquire them.
